World Champion Remco Evenepoel trains with followers on BKOOL

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Virtual Cycling is back to show us how new technologies can bring professional cyclists and their fans together.

On Monday, December 5th, The virtual cycling platform BKOOL will allow hundreds of amateur cyclists to train with Remco Evenepoeljust a few months after lifting the world men’s road racing champion in Australia.

The Belgian cyclist will interact with fines during the event via his Instagram profile, where he will answer their questions and show them the details of the route. The goal is to create a total connection between the World Champion and his fans, who will not only be able to cycle next to him, but will also have the opportunity to talk to him live.

Every detail has been taken care of for this experience to make it as realistic as possible for all cycling lovers. So much so that the virtual bike platform opened a new virtual store this week to stock up on models of real, digitized bikes for training sessions and virtual group rides. Models available in the shop include the official bike of the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team, the Specialized Tarmac SL7used by Evenepoel.

Both Remco and the other fans participating in the group ride can ride their outfitted virtual model bikes, including Roval wheels, and they can also use the official Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team kit to use their virtual avatars in BKOOL.

To top off the experience, during the warm-up, participants can watch an exclusive interview where Evenepoel shares some secrets about his career as a cyclist.

The appointment will take place on Monday 5 December at 18:00 (CET) and participation is open completely free thanks to the 30-day free trial available at All you need to participate is a smart trainer or smart bike and a BKOOL user account.

The stage selected for the virtual group ride is the Verona time trial from the last edition of the Giro d’Italia, available in BKOOL as it is the official platform for the Giro d’Italia and offers the possibility to access the actual stages driving the Giro 2022 at home. This gives the world champion another point of contact with the Corsa Rosa, just hours after confirming his participation in the next edition of the Giro d’Italia.
