Weight reduction: James Martin recommends the Mediterranean eating regimen

Celebrity chef James Martin didn’t spend hours of his day in the gym or cut his calories completely to maintain his lean physique after competing in Strictly Come Dancing. That’s how he did it – and how other slimmers can do it too.

During the competition, James trained eight hours a day, five days a week, for four months.

So when the chef went back to work and didn’t have time to dance off his excess weight, what did he do?

He admitted it was “extremely difficult” to endure, but managed without completely limiting himself.

The main change James made was his diet, which he completely reviewed.

He revealed that while a chef’s job is to serve wonderful food to others, he rarely cooks hearty and healthy meals for himself at the end of the day.

Rather, they’re turning to processed foods and takeaways, according to the chef.

After participating in the austere show, James made a conscious effort to prepare fresh, healthy meals.

“I no longer stuff my face with really bad things like takeout pizza, Mars bars and fizzy sodas that I used to eat tons of during my workday like almost every other chef in the country.”

DO NOT MISS

The Mediterranean diet encourages foods like whole grains, fruits, vegetables, beans, herbs, spices, nuts, and olive oil.

As for meat, slim people can also enjoy fish, seafood and chicken.

They can also stock up on dairy, eggs and poultry while not consuming too much sugar.

James said that healthy eating and weight loss are within everyone’s reach.

“Good food is just cooked food,” he told The Herald.
