Weight loss can seem daunting with so many different diet plans out there. Dr. Michael Mosley has shared the benefits of intermittent fasting and cautioned dieters.
Some will prefer to fast longer and eat all of their daily calories in just a few hours.
Dr. Mosley said the best way to go on a time-limited diet will be different for everyone.
“How you start intermittent fasting depends a lot on you and your personality type,” he told Express.co.uk.
“I usually recommend that people start slowly.

“So start by consuming your food in a 12-hour window and fasting the rest of the time.”
Starting with a larger meal window can help the dieter get used to the plan.
The expert stated that this can be reduced if slimmer models are more comfortable.
“Once you get used to it, move on to a 10-hour meal time,” he added.
“One thing I would say is that there is growing evidence that it is better to finish your dinner earlier than to eat late, skip breakfast, and then fast until noon.”
Following the diet plan can boost your metabolism, burn fat, and slim your waistline.
However, those hoping to shed the pounds should be careful when it comes to the plan.
Dr. Mosley warned against fasting in hot weather, as it can put more stress on the body.
He said, “Note that it is dangerous to fast in hot weather.
“The main thing is that you have to drink a lot of water because you will lose a lot of water.”
It’s always important to stay hydrated whether it’s hot outside or not, the expert added.
He explained, “Whether it is hot or not, I would suggest that you have water, herbal tea, some water with a little lemon, or something similar. Just hit it back.
“It will help control hunger, but the main thing is that it prevents headaches and constipation.”
