With the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League in almost a month, Warner Bros. released a new trailer for the film.
Set after the events of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, where Batman and Wonder Woman form a superhero team that includes Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg as the group tries to save the world from Steppenwolf.
The trailer begins with a voiceover from Lex Luthor: “The god is dead” and, as expected, gives us a new look at Jared Leto’s Joker.
The Justice League first debuted in theaters in November 2017. Snyder was the original director but resigned from the project during post-production for personal reasons and let Joss Whedon finish the film. After its release, fans criticized Whedon’s contributions to the film and created a year-long internet campaign asking Warner Bros. to release Snyder’s original version.
In addition to Snyder’s original vision for the film, new content is also added, notably Jared Leto, who will join the cast and repeat his role as Joker, the super villain he previously played in Suicide Squad.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be released exclusively on HBO Max on March 18.
