Tom Brady’s insane weight reduction revealed as divorce from Gisele Bundchen left him ‘bodily and mentally bruised’
TOM Brady’s 23rd NFL season took its toll.
For the first time in his career, Brady, 45, finished with a losing record before he and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were knocked out of the NFL playoffs 31-14 by the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round.

But it wasn’t just frustrating results and poor attacking play that bothered Brady.
He and his current ex-wife Gisele Bundchen also divorced in October after thirteen years together.
And in a recent report, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington shed light on just how much Brady took his toll last season.
He explained, “Brady also knows his own mental focus was gone for most of the season.
“His physique is also at risk with a fifteen-pound weight loss.
“He felt at times that his preseason agony ended his chances of success before the regular season even started.”
Darlington also stated that “Brady needs to breathe this offseason.”
“Both physically and mentally hurt, he needs to heal.”
Brady, who will enter free agency for the second time of his career this offseason, has a decision to make.
Last season, he retired for just 40 days before announcing a stunning about-face.
So, at the age of 46, is he returning for another shot at the eighth Super Bowl ring, or is he hanging up his shoes for good?
According to Darlington, at times this season it seemed like Brady wanted to stay with the Bucs to “be part of the solution.”
Some of his fellow human beings “wouldn’t mind seeing him retire”.
Should Brady decide to return, Darlington said, “There are at least two teams interested in luring him to their cities.”
Some of the teams that have been most closely associated with Brady lately include the Miami Dolphins and the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady was previously linked with both before joining the Bucs, but this time Tampa Bay looks like a team in need of at least a partial rebuild.
And while the Raiders don’t look like Super Bowl contenders just yet, he would be teaming up with head coach Josh McDaniels, who served as his offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots for eight years.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins under freshman head coach Mike McDaniel have often looked like a genuine contender this season, hampered in part by quarterback injuries.
However, it seems that Brady is still a long way from making a decision about his future.
Talking to Jim Gray about her Let’s Go! podcast on Monday, Brady appeared frustrated when the topic arose.
When asked if he’d made a decision regarding his future, he said: “If I knew what I was going to do, I fucking would have done it.
“I take it one day at a time.”
