three injured in stabbings at Encino Hospital – NBC Los Angeles

Three people were in critical condition at a San Fernando Valley hospital after a knife attack on Friday, according to Los Angeles police.

The stabbings were reported in the 16000 block of Ventura Boulevard in an Encino Hospital Medical Center building, police said.

All three were initially in critical condition and were taken to a local trauma center, a hospital spokesman and LAFD said.

Dignity Health Northridge Hospital Medical Center said the three patients were stable later Friday night.

The hospital was locked down and surrounding roads were closed.

After hours of arguments with police, the LAPD confirmed the assailant was arrested around 8:30 p.m

Details of the victims’ identities weren’t immediately available, but a hospital technician told NBCLA he saw a doctor and two nurses with stab wounds.
