The Houston ISD grocery distribution supersites will reopen in January

The first of several Houston ISD Food Supersites will be open Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Barnett Stadium.

HOUSTON – Houston ISD will open the first of several neighborhood food distribution supersites Wednesday when students return from winter break, according to the district.

All locations feature meals for students and grocery boxes for families from the Houston Food Bank for seven days.

The district said your child does not need to be enrolled in HISD school to receive meals. It is open to all students between the ages of 1 and 18.

Families must either have children in the car, or provide a birth certificate or proof of enrollment in a school district.

Here is the distribution schedule for the HISD neighborhood in January:

Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Barnett Stadium, 6800 Fairway Drive

Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
