KEARNEY – The Trails & Rails Museum of the Buffalo County Historical Society is hosting a free Essential Life Planning workshop Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Family History Center at 710 W. 11th St.

During this recurring event, attendees will be able to learn more about living wills, patient family representation, powers of attorney, donor-recommended funds, retirement/estate planning, wills/legacy gifts, cemeteries, memorials, writing obituaries, organ donation and palliative care, organizers said.

Also covered is the Southeast Central Nebraska Area Agency for aging, nursing homes, assisted living, home health care, insurance, mental health, and preserving your family history and belongings, organizers said.

Participants can make appointments for more in-depth discussions.
