Sources: Valley’s house well being care enterprise is closing, inflicting hassle for purchasers and workers

A longtime Valley business that provided health care and support to patients in their homes has shut down, according to multiple sources. The closure of mvi HomeCare in Youngstown and Salem caught staff and patients – who were being treated by Home Care for the Elderly – without prior notice of the service disruption. Rebecca Hughes, a former mvi clinical director/manager, confirmed the closure and told 21 News that all patients being cared for by mvi have been transferred to other home care facilities in the Valley. Hughes said 55 staff lost their jobs in the closure and about 100 patients were looking for home health care replacements at the end of December.
