Sharon ‘Mall Mall’ Reid Kuchera – Monessen

On September 15, 2022, after a short but severe illness, our beloved went home at the hands of her daughter, Tina Marie, and her namesake and niece, Sharon Michele, to be reunited with the Lord. Known for lighting up a room anywhere with her witty sense of humor, she had an innate love of life. She was the daughter of the late Nellie Blanche Wise and the late James Reid Wilson and was born on April 18, 1955 in Gary, Indiana. Her beloved husband, Daniel Wayne Kuchera, died two weeks before her. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Wise; sister-in-law, Cheryl J. Wise; brother-in-law, John Lawrence Sergi Sr.; and nephew, John Lawrence Sergi Jr., all from Monessen. She attended Belle Vernon High School and later became a homemaker, being a class mom almost every year. After this time, she worked for many years at Hallsworth House and Adult Assisted Living, ultimately opting until recently for private home nursing and was highly regarded. She was a member of the Eagles and a former Croatian club in Monessen. Not only was she known for her sense of humor and pranks, but also for her tenacity and strength after beating cervical cancer in 2015. She was also an avid animal lover. Surviving Sharon are her daughter Tina Marie’s (William) cousin; and son, Mark Andrew II (Robyn) Yonko Jr.; granddaughter, Nicole Lynn Koster; grandson, Mark Andrew Yonko III; four great-granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Jodie Lyn (JZ) Zupan, Gianna, Sharon Michele Wise, Ashley and Jarod Harabaugh, Erica Wise and Andrew Amati; best friend, Angie Zupan; and their beloved dogs Rambo and Bugsy Malone Kuchera. The family of Daniel and Sharon Kuchera will welcome friends to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 2 to 3 p.m. A memorial service and luncheon will be held on January 28, 2023. Please contact the family regarding the time. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of the United States on her behalf.
