A remedy for dry cough is honey. Honey soothes a sore throat. Take warm water in a small glass and mix two teaspoons of honey in it. Drink it after honey and water are well mixed. Regular use of this remedy relieves dry cough.

Regular drinking of turmeric milk cures many diseases in the body. Turmeric contains an ingredient called curcumin. This ingredient reduces suffering from cold, cough and many respiratory diseases. Mix half a spoonful of turmeric in a glass of milk and drink it.

Jaggery is believed to be more potent than sugar. Jaggery is used in place of sugar in many dishes. Consuming jaggery is an effective remedy for cold and cough. Mix jaggery powder in warm water and drink. Dosage and how many times a day as recommended by the doctor.

Salt is packed with antibacterial properties that help kill bacteria in the throat and mouth and help maintain oral health. Take warm water in a large glass and mix in a teaspoon of salt. Gargle with this water, do this remedy twice a day.

Oranges can be eaten at any time of the year. Orange juice is very useful for the body. You can mix orange juice with 1 teaspoon of turmeric and a pinch of black pepper. Which helps reduce cough.

Eat more ghee in winter. Ghee makes the skin glow. Ghee has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help keep your throat clean. Black pepper powder mixed with ghee relieves dry cough.
