NOTE: Elections close at 7 p.m. in Illinois, but some results may be delayed due to earlier problems affecting certain polling locations. Check back all night for the latest updates.

With polling stations across Illinois closing Tuesday night and the counting of votes in the Illinois primary, how can you follow the results live?

If you want to follow election results from across the state, you can find the latest ballot numbers on NBCChicago.com and on the NBC Chicago app after polling stations close at 7 p.m

(Check with your local electoral authority to see if there are any expansions or changes to your polling location. Some locations, including six in Cook County, remain open due to previous issues, which will delay results for that county.)

Please note that it takes several minutes for the initial vote numbers to be entered into the system. So you might consider bookmarking the Illinois election results page and checking in throughout the night.
