QC lady deserves worldwide recognition for weight reduction success

Becky Hamm, of Davenport, has gained international recognition for her 89.2 pound weight loss from the non-profit TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a non-profit weight loss, education and support organization.

In addition, she recently received the title of First Place Division 3 winner, according to a press release. Hamm lost more weight than any other female member in her weight class in the US and Canada in calendar year 2019 (winners will be announced in 2020).

She attributes her success in losing weight to the support she receives from her TOPS colleagues along with portion control and regular exercise.

“I am so happy that I turned to TOPS. There is so much support within the chapter – I have cheerleaders, ”said Hamm. “I ran / ran in my first 5 km on Thanksgiving Day 2019 and can now ride my bike and climb stairs without puffing and puffing.”
