Nursing dwelling firms are working collectively to extend employees vaccination

ATLANTA, August 9, 2021 / PRNewswire / – PruittHealth, Community Health Services of Georgia (CHSGa) and AG Rhodes jointly announced today that the companies are demanding that all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to curb the rising number of cases in the communities they serve.

“At PruittHealth we take our obligation to protect those we serve seriously,” Neil L. Pruitt, Jr., Chairman and CEO of PruittHealth, said. “A life lost to COVID-19 is too much, and as caregivers we have a responsibility to look after the health and well-being of this most vulnerable group of patients, their families and the communities each of us calls home.”

Organization leaders cite low vaccination rates as the main reason for the continued spread of COVID19 and stressed that this move signals their implicit trust in the science developed to protect the world’s population. Only medical and religious exceptions to the new vaccine mandate will be considered on a case-by-case basis, according to company executives.

“As a healthcare provider, we have an obligation to put those entrusted to us, our employees and our communities first,” said Ronnie D. Rollins, President and CEO of CHSGa. “We believe vaccination is critical to our fight against COVID-19. The adoption of the COVID-19 vaccine is the most important thing we can do to protect our vulnerable population. “

“We didn’t make this decision easy for us, but the vaccine is our most effective weapon,” said Deke Cateau, CEO of AG Rhodes. “To end this global pandemic, more people – especially those who work with the most vulnerable members of our community – need to be vaccinated. We cannot go back to what happened last year. “

In addition to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, the health services of PruittHealth, CHSGa and AG Rhodes are used at all locations for the safety and protection of patients and employees alike.

“Together, we have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in the face of a global pandemic that physically separated us from loved ones and at the same time brought us closer together,” added Pruitt. “There is no doubt that COVID-19 has changed us, but if we work together we can defeat this global pandemic and create a safe environment in which we can feed and care for all.”
