But dr Mosley explained that people don’t need to eat all the time to get their levels back to normal, and urged people to follow a fasting diet, which may promote fat burning.

dr Mosley went on to explain that it can take 10 hours for fat burning to start unless people exercise “vigorously,” which is why he recommends eating breakfast as late as possible to extend time without food.

Exercising more or harder than usual can lower blood sugar faster, according to Healthline.

Instead, she found that actively avoiding low blood sugar and the resulting food cravings helps prevent unintended weight gain.

Harvard Medical School recommended that the best way to lose weight is to maintain healthy blood sugar levels and eat a nutritious, balanced diet.
