January 6 Committee members say they’ve sufficient proof to question Trump

According to the Associated Press, members of the Jan. 6 committee believe they have found enough evidence to impeach former President Donald Trump. The allegation is a dramatic step in the committee’s work to argue to the American people that Trump and his allies are knowingly spreading misinformation about the 2020 election, particularly in the run-up to the deadly attack on the Capitol in January 2021. For that are two others Hearings scheduled this week say lawmakers plan to unveil new evidence to back up claims they think “reasonable” people will believe, according to committee member Rep. Jamie Raskin (R-MD). If the Justice Department files charges, Trump would be the first president to be impeached.
