It’s never too late to start your pre-wedding skincare routine. We know you’ve been hectic with the preparations and last minute things, you too are the perfectionist that you are, you want your outfits and jewelry to be perfect but remember it’s just as important to focus on your skin.

“With all these events and you dressing up as the most beautiful bride, the pre-skincare game becomes very important,” says celebrity makeup artist Kajol R Paswwan.

It can be exhausting to manage a good skincare routine with all the hassle and prep, but you can manage to employ a few home remedies that go a long way in giving you that glow.

  1. Drink lots of water – HYDRATE. “That’s my tip for anyone who doesn’t take it seriously. It may sound cliche, but a hydrated body glows differently and it shows over the long term. Make sure you don’t miss out on drinking water no matter how busy your schedule is,” adds Paswwan.
  2. A good 8 hours of sleep every day gives your skin the rest it needs and helps it to heal itself. A good night’s sleep nourishes your skin like anything else.
  3. Have a balanced diet. It’s no secret that eating clean gives you better-looking, healthier skin. Make sure you start this three months before the wedding and keep it up to see results. “Eat a balanced diet rich in antioxidants. Start drinking green tea regularly, preferably every day. This can help with more than just weight loss,” says Vani Ahuja, co-founder and director of NatureCode.
  4. Don’t skip your CTM routine. Create a skincare routine tailored to your skin type, including cleansing, toning, moisturizing, applying sunscreen, exfoliating, and a night routine.
  5. During the winter months, moisturizing and moisturizing are among the most important things you can do for your face. “Use natural products like aloe vera, milk cream, coconut oil and others to get glowing skin. Use proper protection from sunlight and pollution when disembarking. Don’t forget to use your sunscreen,” says Rakhi Ahuja, CEO of Jovees Herbal.
  6. Multani Mitti is an ingredient that’s like a unicorn in a forest of skincare ingredients. “It’s rich in magnesium chloride, which helps to clear blemishes and lighten facial scars. The best part is that it is a great de-tanning product and will cool any type of rash or inflammation. So use it 2-3 times a week as needed and we know it works like magic,” says Paswwan.
