FRANKLIN, Somerset – A 69-year-old Somerset resident who worked as a family doctor was arrested and charged in connection with alleged escalation of criminal sexual contact in the community, authorities said.
Rose Stanley from the Somerset section was charged with aggravated third-degree criminal sexual contact, Somerset County Attorney Michael H. Robertson, county Detectives chief John W. Fodor and Franklin Public Safety Director Quovella M. Spruill said in a statement Friday.
Robertson said at 3:12 p.m. Tuesday that police received a call regarding possible sexual contact involving a non-verbal adult male patient and his home health care worker. Police detectives arrived at the victim’s home to conduct an investigation.
As a result of the investigation, Stanley was arrested without incident. Stanley was working as a housekeeper for a community health company, authorities said.
Stanley was being held in Somerset County Jail pending a hearing.
