Disabled Vet in Nogales Sonora seeks Nurse

This is my first post on this site and I am desperate. I am a morbidly obese, disabled veteran with diabetes living in the foothills of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. I have a local woman who does home medical care at my home two or three times a week. Services such as: showers, compression stockings, lotions, help sorting bills, cooking, laundry and light housekeeping. This was previously provided to me by the Veterans Administration Health Care System, but they obviously do not provide services in Mexico and I paid for a very limited SSA pension out of my own pocket.

Anyway, I lost my local caregiver to someone else and I have no idea how to advertise or find anyone local who could provide services. I need someone urgently and I cannot survive without this help. No training, experience or certification is required as I can and will train what is necessary if they speak some English and if they only speak Spanish I can use a translator.

I’m looking for three things:

1. Can anyone share some strategies, methods or resources I can use here in Mexico to find someone like this? In the US, for example, we have Craigslist. Are there such resources in this community (I can translate into Spanish and post in both languages).

2. Personal Recommendations: These are usually the best and most reliable when I can get them. So if you are in the Nogales area please call me at 623-252-2327 or email me at: [email protected] and I would be very grateful to you.

3. Please share your thoughts on what a reasonable price in pesos would be for these services to the local economy. I had paid 200 pesos an hour.

Many Thanks,

Wear
