Law360 (Jul 16, 2021, 8:00 PM EDT) – A federal judge on Friday upheld most of a former employee’s proposed state benefits class action lawsuit against Prime Healthcare Services Inc., canceling just one lawsuit filed by plan participants affecting health claimed care companies deliberately broken workers’ trust.
In a minute filed in California federal court, U.S. District Judge Josephine L. Staton declined to fully dismiss former employee Maria D. Ornelas’ Employee Retirement Income Security Act lawsuit alleging the company had its workers put their retirement plans in an expensive, poorly performing fund as of the reporting date.
