“I’m getting the same surgery as Angela in two days,” said Tiffany, who made her debut on Season 1 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way RonaldSmithsaid host Shaun Robinson.
Angela replied, “Ahh, you didn’t tell me! I’m so happy for you!”
“Yes, I’m excited. It’s been a long process,” the New Jersey native said, adding that her husband also opposed the decision. “[Ronald] wasn’t supportive at first but I just know this is the right move for me with everything that’s going on in my life right now.”
Ronald shook his head before interjecting. “I mean, me and Tiffany, we’ve had a lot of discussions on this topic,” he said, revealing why he couldn’t approve of his wife’s weight-loss surgery. “Why not put in the work, that’s my take on it. You will appreciate the results much more.”
Angela agreed with the South African native, but explained that while Tiffany, who was in her late 20s, might have found it easier to lose weight through traditional diet and exercise, it would have been more difficult for her since she was in her mid-50s.
“It’s not going to be easy,” Tiffany disagreed. “It’s going to be really difficult because the surgery changes the food you can eat [in]but it doesn’t change your mind, so that’s the work that needs to be done after the operation.”
Angela added, “Exactly.”
